What We Do

​In our play-centred learning environment, we will support your child through their developmental stages, monitoring and celebrating their progress with you. We implement a bespoke curriculum designed to give your child the best possible early years education and prepare them for the transition to nursery and primary school. Our staff are highly attuned to providing for your child’s specific needs and our setting will provide your child with age appropriate learning through play and a secure environment in which they will form some of their first friendships.

At Hullabaloo we have a daily routine which will help your child to feel secure and provide opportunity for varied and stimulating learning through indoor and outdoor play. Each child has a key worker, but being a small, homely nursery, the children will get to know every member of staff and this makes transition to their next room easier for your child.

Rest is an important time of the day, and whilst the babies have their own dedicated sleep room, there are opportunities throughout the day for older children to have some quiet or nap time.
At mealtimes, the children sit and eat together – this helps them to form friendships, provides opportunities to chat and socialise and encourages them to try different foods. At Hullabaloo we try to replicate a family mealtime as much as possible.

Judith holds an NVQ Level 5 in Childcare, Learning & Development and manages the setting on a day to day basis.

Maureen also holds an NVQ Level 5 in Childcare, Learning & Development and has over 30 years of experience of working in childcare.

Our facilities

All our playrooms have age appropriate furniture, toys, arts and crafts supplies, musical instruments and books. We also promote the use of sensory and imaginative  play in all rooms.
Our extensive private garden has climbing frames, swings, a grassed area and hard surfaced area for all types of outdoor activities including ball games, mud kitchen, scooters, bikes and picnics. In summer we often have our break outside in the shade.
We have a daily routine for each room to make your child feel secure. 
​Musical Monkeys visit the nursery  regularly to assist with diversity, physical and educational development.
Outings can include a trip to the park, the zoo, urban farm, duck pond, nature walks, and to see Santa!

• Hullabaloo is registered by the Health & Social Care Trust to provide nursery places for up to 25 children.
• ​We care for babies aged 6 weeks – 2 years in a dedicated baby room with separate cot room.
• Our toddlers aged 2-3 are accommodated in our upstairs playroom with its own bathroom and changing area.
• Our pre-school children are cared for in our spacious downstairs play room and have use of the main bathroom.
